He started praying at bedtime without being asked.

We did not teach him that. He picked it up on Sundays and brought it home, and it has changed the last few minutes of every day. He prays for his class, his grandmother, and — most nights — the dog. It is not polished and it is not performance. It is his, and watching it happen has quietly changed how his mother and I pray too.

From the first visit, our children felt welcomed and safe.

“They still talk all week about what they learned on Sunday. The leaders remember their names, and that has meant more to them than anything else. My youngest used to hide behind my leg at the door; now she waves me off. What surprised me most is that the lesson comes home with them — we end up talking about it over dinner on Tuesday without anyone planning to.”

We walked in not knowing a single person.

“Someone met us at the door, walked us to the classroom, and checked on us afterwards. By the second Sunday it already felt like ours. Nobody asked us to sign anything or join anything. They simply learned our names, remembered them the following week, and left the next step entirely up to us — which is exactly why we took it.”
Hannah Boateng Mother of three

I had put it off for months because I dreaded the awkwardness.

“There was none. No pressure, no sign-up sheet pushed at us — just a warm hello and a clear idea of where to go. I had built the whole thing up in my head for the better part of a year. Ten minutes in, my daughter was already colouring at a table with two other kids, and I was standing at the back wondering what exactly I had been so worried about.”
