Daniel Reed
Volunteer Coordinator
Daniel handles training and background checks, so every leader is ready before they lead. It is the least visible job in the ministry and arguably the most important one: nothing else here works unless the adults in the rooms are prepared, checked and supported.
He runs volunteer training monthly, pairs every new leader with an experienced one for their first weeks, and keeps the safeguarding paperwork current without anyone having to chase him for it. He is also the person who says no when a room is short-staffed, because a ratio that slips is a promise broken to a parent.
If you are thinking about serving, Daniel is who you will meet first. He will be honest about the commitment, walk you through the checks, and make sure you never end up alone in a room you have not been prepared for.
